Evanescence is Working With Multiple Producers

In the interview for CoS Amy Lee confirmed that they will work with more than one producer, including “Evanescence” producer Nick Raskulinecz.

Evanescence mastermind Amy Lee gives Kyle Meredith a call to discuss covering Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” for Gears of War 5. Lee talks about the mystery of Stevie Nicks, the influence of Beth Gibbons from Portishead, and the differences in writing for gaming versus film soundtracks. The “Bring Me To Life” singer then gives us clues into their next album, which is currently in production. Lee says it’s the summation of everything they’ve done so far with plenty of new moments. The band is working with multiple producers to center in on different styles and hope to begin releasing singles sooner than later.

Evanescence Releases Powerful Music Video For “The Chain (From Gears 5)”

BAND IS CURRENTLY IN THE STUDIO WORKING ON NEW ORIGINAL MUSIC

SPRING TOUR BEGINS ON MARCH 29 WITH A PERFORMANCE AT DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL JAPAN

Watch the new video for “The Chain” here.

“The most successful hard rock band of the past two decades” – Forbes

“Amy Lee firmly re-establishes herself as one of rock’s pre-eminent vocalists, exhibiting an impressive range that still packs a wallop” – Variety

“Amy Lee’s voice remains vibrant, soaring and sweet. She makes disappointment sound like romance.” – New York Times

“Haunting, powerful, and packed with poetic truth, Lee’s voice is one of the strongest in the game—recognizable and unparalleled.” – Nylon

Transcendent, two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning rock band, Evanescence, has released the official music video for their first new rock recording in eight years, “The Chain (From Gears 5).” Directed by frequent collaborator, P.R. Brown (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Green Day), the piece blends powerful, epic performance visuals with footage from the launch trailer for Xbox Game Studios’ Gears 5 from the massively popular Gears of War franchise. To emulate the aesthetic of Gears 5, a miniature set was constructed for the music video that parallels the dystopian environment of the game. Watch it HERE, and listen to the song on all digital streaming platforms HERE.

“The lyrics make me feel the power of standing together against great forces trying to pull us apart, perhaps even from the inside. I really wanted to drive that home in our version,” lead singer Amy Lee elaborates. P.R. Brown adds, “The goal of the video is to show the bond of this band as they deliver a powerful take on a classic song. The tie in with Gears 5 presented an opportunity to combine the game world together with the band performance in a post-apocalyptic setting. The band emerges from the ashes to come together. We wanted to bring these worlds together and feel both the force of the band and the game.”

Evanescence star Amy Lee ‘blown away’ by Scottish fanbase after 20 years of touring the world

Evanescence star Amy Lee admits she is still blown away by her fanbase in Scotland after nearly 20 years of touring the world.

The rocker, 37, will return to her favourite country next year alongside fellow big-hitters Within Temptation as part of a blockbuster partnership.

And the “Bring Me To Life” and “My Immortal” singer admits she still gets goosebumps any time she gets on a Scottish stage.

Amy says: “It is the coolest. The atmosphere is always awesome and we are blown away by it.

“It doesn’t matter how often it happens, it always comes as a surprise.

“It’s a gift that we get to travel all over the place and visit places like Scotland where I might have never had the chance to go had it not been for Evanescence.

“I like to experience another country and culture, eat their food, then get on stage.

“The extra gift is them knowing our music when we perform and knowing we have touched them in some way.

Evanescence Listed as one of the Most Anticipated Rock Albums Of 2020

There was some controversy when Billboard announced the songs, albums and artists that performed the best on the rock charts in 2019 (and throughout the past decade), as some of them didn’t fit squarely into what many people call “rock.” While that’s a debate for another time, many of the most exciting titles that should blast through speakers for the first time in 2020 couldn’t be described any other way.

Evanescence

It’s now been nine years since Evanescence released an album of original material, and fans have waited long enough to hear what perhaps the most successful hard rock band of the past two decades has been working on…but it’s not entirely clear if anything will materialize in 2020. Lead singer Amy Lee, who has been busy with her own personal projects, admitted in an interview that the group wants to share a new album this year, but suggestions have been made before, and until there’s a proper announcement, perhaps it’s best not to get too excited.

According to Amy Lee the album should be out in 2020 but no definite information has been provided at this time. We will keep you updated as more information because available to us.
