In other Evanescence news, the band announced they would be getting “back to their roots” with new music this year as a follow up to their 2011 self-titled album.

“We all really wanna do it,” Lee says. “And it’s not one of those things where it’s, like, ‘Someday, maybe we’ll do something again.’ Everybody’s on board, and we’re getting together to do a few shows next year in [the self-titled] style — partially because I think it’ll be good for us to get back to that root, just get back to playing Evanescence-style rock and roll and just five together again.”

Despite the band’s promising plans, there is no specific timeline set in stone for the release of new music just yet.

Here we go. Hope you guys enjoy VLOG#3
Once again thanks to Simone for that awesome day!!!

Jen's best of 2018

In addition, during the Christmas Eve Jen shared her summary of 2018 that includes her personal projects, collaborations, clinics and the tour with Evanescence and Lindsey Stirling.

Jen posted the video on her Facebook:

All of you out there!
I wanna wish all of you a beautiful, warm-hearted and healthy Merry Christmas. I hope you get to spend the holidays just like me – with people you love, people who are your family, your heart. When it comes down to the important things in our lives it is the people you get to spent time with, the places you get to travel and see, the experiences you are allowed to make, the relationships and what you learn from each one of them… 2018 was another intense year for me personally (as you will clearly see when you watch my little “Best of 2018” video here) but I am grateful for every moment. We all need to embrace The Good, see that our glasses are half full – not half empty! It’s that little thing in every person’s attitude – how we personally deal with things that fate throws at us! So many people I talk to are complaining, are suffering, are whining… but if you think about it: there is always something you can learn from no matter what situation life puts you through – so do it! Learn! Improve! Listen and I cannot repeat it often enough: Try to be a better person every day! Cherish the beautiful things life has in store for all of us!
MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thank you for all the love and support and see you all next year!

“Fight for your right” of the Beastie Boys
“Show must go on” of Queen

In 2003, Evanescence released Fallen, one of the most decade-defining albums (and one of the most successful debut albums of all time) and have gone on to became one of the most well-loved & respected bands of their generation. In the 15 years since their debut, Evanescence founder and lead-singer, Amy Lee, toured the world, has scored motion picture films and even took a 3 year break to start a family. In late 2017, Evanescence re-emerged from their hiatus with Synthesis—a reimagining of their best-known songs with orchestra & electronics and an accompanying sold-out and highly-acclaimed world tour. On November 3, 2017 Evanescence performed “Synthesis Live” in front of a sold out crowd at the Grand Theater at Foxwoods Casino in CT.
