[EXCLUSIVE] Premiere of the new Remix from Evanescence Channel

Mick Scissorhands and Axel Letelier (aka Ivolier) have been working on this experiment/collaboration through Evanescence Channel for more than three months, which crosses several artists including We Are The Fallen, Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil and now Korn.

In addition, they accumulate more than 173,000 views and almost a thousand comments on YouTube in this short time.

And we are pleased to premiere exclusively on EvTod the new remix and soon an extensive interview. You can’t miss this!.

What can you tell us about this new collaboration, remix?

Mick: This work is a bit more ambitious because it mixes several other artists. It’s Skrillex, Korn and Evanescence. Skrillex on the heavy electronic side, Korn on the heavy rock side and male voice and Evanescence that brings “Going Under” with her voice and harmonies.

Axel: It so happens that the songs and the times were almost exact. It’s as if they had been made to be mixed. The idea is to open the possibilities to other genres.

All the possibilities are very latent.

Amy Lee reacts to people eating fingers to Evanescence song

And she also joined the challenge!

eatfingerschallenge

Not even Amy Lee couldn’t resist the latest TikTok challenge, especially since Evanescence is part of it.

After seeing kids “eat” their fingers to “Bring Me To Life,” the singer decided to try it for herself. Watch the video of her doing the challenge below!

The latest challenge that’s taking over TikTok sounds risky but it’s actually way safer than some other things the internet tried in the past few years—yes, we are talking about eating tide pods and the Bird Box challenge.

That’s because in the #eatingfingers challenge, people are only pretending to eat their fingers. As Time notes, TikTok users are using the app’s mirror effect to create an optical illusion. The result makes it seem like they’re chewing their fingers.

Oh, and there’s more. The soundtrack is Evanescence’s “Bring Me To Life,” but not the original song. Rather, it’s the Kidz Bop rendition of the classic track. Yes, it’s just as good as it sounds.

Vox reporter Rebecca Jennings found the videos and shared some hilarious ones on Twitter, but it also caught the attention of someone else: Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee.

Lee clearly loved the challenge, so much that she decided to try in for herself. The singer did the challenge on the app and shared the video on Twitter, as well.

“I’m not normally one to follow trends but this one just feels right,” she writes.

Jen's best of 2018

In addition, during the Christmas Eve Jen shared her summary of 2018 that includes her personal projects, collaborations, clinics and the tour with Evanescence and Lindsey Stirling.

Jen posted the video on her Facebook:

All of you out there!
I wanna wish all of you a beautiful, warm-hearted and healthy Merry Christmas. I hope you get to spend the holidays just like me – with people you love, people who are your family, your heart. When it comes down to the important things in our lives it is the people you get to spent time with, the places you get to travel and see, the experiences you are allowed to make, the relationships and what you learn from each one of them… 2018 was another intense year for me personally (as you will clearly see when you watch my little “Best of 2018” video here) but I am grateful for every moment. We all need to embrace The Good, see that our glasses are half full – not half empty! It’s that little thing in every person’s attitude – how we personally deal with things that fate throws at us! So many people I talk to are complaining, are suffering, are whining… but if you think about it: there is always something you can learn from no matter what situation life puts you through – so do it! Learn! Improve! Listen and I cannot repeat it often enough: Try to be a better person every day! Cherish the beautiful things life has in store for all of us!
MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thank you for all the love and support and see you all next year!

See Evanescence’s Amy Lee Make Emotional Cameo in New Veridia Video

Amy Lee and Veridia‘s Deena Jakoub channel personal loss and grief into moving duet

Nashville-based pop/rock/electronic band Veridia have released a candid new performance clip for “I’ll Never Be Ready” off their latest album The Beast You Feed. The track features Amy Lee on piano and backing vocals, and its accompanying video captures the Evanescence frontwoman playing the song with Veridia for the first time at the band’s album release party at Nashville’s Analog.

Veridia frontwoman Deena Jakoub wrote “I’ll Never Be Ready” as her dad was dying from renal disease, and when she reached out to Lee to guest on the song, it resonated strongly with the Evanescence bandleader, who had recently lost her brother. Both singers talk about their experiences with loss and how the song and the collaboration helped them to heal in the video.

“It felt like we were divinely brought together to walk through and perform through those deep emotions,” Jakoub told Alternative Press. “She played the song of my soul that I could not find the words to sing.”

“There are things in this world that are cruel and unfair, and there are also things in this world that are impossibly beautiful,” Lee added. “Reaching out and finding someone else in the darkness lights up the one thing that lives forever. Love. And to quote the words that hold my heart, ‘I’ll never forget how much I was loved.'”

Ready Amy Lee‘s reaction on Twitter:

“This song found me when I needed it so bad. So proud and so grateful for this night, this connection, this expression of deepest love. Thank you Deena Jakoub and Veridia
